I design and build web & mobile products for founders, small teams, and brands that need something sharp — not a committee deck. Three apps in the stores. Zero template sites.

Editorial, fast, accessible landing pages and product sites. Written, designed, built and deployed — from a blank canvas to live in about two weeks.
Shipped to the App Store and Play Store. Offline-first, low-memory, low-battery — built like infrastructure, not a demo.
From idea to live product. I do discovery, design, engineering and launch. Best for founders who need one hire, not four.
Design review, architecture audits, store-submission rescue, or a working session to unstick your team. Hourly or day-rate.
A working session, a shared doc, and a tight scope. We agree what we're building and — louder — what we're not.
Hi-fi, interactive prototype. Clickable, scrollable, testable. We iterate on the thing, not on slides about the thing.
Clean code, real data, staging URL updated daily. You see progress as it happens — no mystery black-box phase.
Deploy, analytics wired, stores submitted, handover docs. You own the code, the copy, the account — all of it.
I'm the builder behind asterixorobelix — a software engineer and designer based in Cape Town. I build quiet, capable products for the web and mobile, end-to-end, on my own.
Most studios split design, engineering and strategy across three people and three invoices. I don't. I write the copy, sketch the layouts, ship the code and submit the app. The seam between idea and product is shorter when one person holds all of it.
Previously: seven years building for the web across fintech, transit, and civic tech. Three apps live across iOS and Android stores. Now taking on a small number of client projects a year — the ones I'd want to build anyway.
A couple of sentences is fine. I reply within two working days. If we're a fit, we'll book a 30-minute call — no commitment, no slide deck.
